The first official meeting between President Donald Trump and first lady Ivanka Trump will be held in the Rose Garden on Monday, the White House announced.
The first lady will be accompanied by her husband, President Donald J. Trump, at the event.
The meeting will take place from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.mi.
It is the first of two such events the couple will hold with a national audience.
The Rose Garden is where Trump and his wife, Melania, will be the featured guests, according to the White Palace.
The White House says the two will “discuss health care, national security, and economic opportunity.”
The White Palace says the meeting will be a “private” event and will not be broadcast.
It says the president will be asked questions during the event, and the president’s personal assistant, Stephanie Grisham, will accompany the president to the Rose Gardens for the meeting.
The president will speak in person for about five minutes.
The White House said the first lady is expected to ask questions, then return to the Oval Office for a bilateral meeting.
