Google has teamed up with famed footwear brand Fostex to make sure the city knows what people want to wear.
The partnership, which will be rolled out this weekend in the city, will include Google Maps and a series of search boxes on the search engine’s home page, which allow users to search for products and people.
Users can also find product listings by keywords such as “likes” and “liked” and get insights about products from other users on the Google Maps website, including whether the product is popular in the area.
The Google mapping feature will be available to users in the United States, Canada and Australia.
Fostex will use the feature to make a public announcement about its upcoming Fall/Winter 2016 collection, which features three signature pieces.
It’s not known when the collection will be released, but the shoe line is one of Fostx’s main sponsors.
Fosun is one-half of legendary Japanese shoemaker Fostix, which specializes in high-end footwear.
It also has a partnership with Nike and a partnership in the form of Fosun footwear with the Japanese sports shoe brand Nippon Cheetos.
